Pumpkin snack bread

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup fat-free Greek yogurt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp cloves
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips

    Preparation
  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Combine first 6 ingredients in a large bowl, stirring well with a whisk. Stir in flours, spices, salt, and baking soda, stirring just until moist. Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Spoon batter into a loaf pan coated with cooking spray. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a tooth pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool. Makes 16 slices.
